Well, sometimes sunny. But beautiful. Beautiful, for sure. (There are so many TREES!)
The trip was great! Packing started the Saturday before we left. We rented an awesome 5'X8' Uhaul and set out on the complex task of attempting to fit our life's belongings inside.
Here is the trailer, in all its glory.
And here is the 'practice' pile David made to make sure we could fit everything into the 5X8. Note the duct tape on the wall on the right. :D
Jaythan, sleeping outside while we packed the trailer, blissfully unaware of the massive life change we were about ready to take...
We were accompanied by our two great brothers, Jon and Deric. It was a long trip, that's for sure. But we made the most of it!
Long trip = sleepy baby!
Finally, after a long 3 days of traveling, We made it!
The boys were a tid bit tired....
And these pictures?
Well, they're, uh... they're not pertinent, really.
I just wanted to show you that smile. Isn't it cute!?
Since arriving almost two weeks ago, we have done all the normal, Philly stuff. Saw the sights, felt an earthquake, ate a cheese steak, weathered a hurricane. Ya know, normal Philly stuff...
Yes, I am Rocky Balboa.
Uncle Deric holdin' the babe.
Wala. The city!
Ok, play time's over. Now it's time to get down to business. David starts seminary classes in a week, and I start two more online classes to prepare for nursing school.
Oh, and then there's that whole parenting business.
Jaythan has taken a liking to his new home. (Perhaps that's because he is 2 months old and doesn't know any better.) He's become a kind of celebrity on our new premises. Because who can resist a tiny little creature that drools and coos all the time? I know I can't...
Well, I know more interesting things will continue to happen here in the Fuller household. In the mean time, some prayer requests:
David is starting masters classes very soon, and he has no idea what to expect! Pray that he can handle the reading load, on top of working for the scholarship he received, on top of being a husband, on top of being a father. Whew! That's a lot of on tops!
Pray that we get accustomed to this new way of life here in Philly...that we make friends, learn the best places to shop, learn how to get around...all that good stuff.
Money. Hate it, but it's needed for life, now is isn't it. Philly is much more expensive than Kansas, and we are trying to raise a kid and go to school. we must be crazy. But alas, God is in control. And it is He who gives us the money we need, when we need it. That is such and encouraging thought!
The nursing program at Eastern University starts in May, and I have applied for it. They only take 25 applicants each year, and I want to get in SO BADLY. So give a little shout out for me, will ya?
Thanks! We love you all and miss you!
