a happy return

i picked up david late last night from the airport.

happy day! another set of arms to hold jaythan when mine get tired!

jaythan and i had some fun times together this week, but i was definitely ready for david to get back.

hopefully soon i can convince him to write a post about his time over the border....

my little fish

one day, i met a jew on the train.

that's not meant to be funny. i really did meet a jew! her name is liat. she is wonderful, and so is her family. we exchanged numbers, had some meals together, and became friends.

maybe not in that order.

anyway, her family has a membership to the local y, and the babe and i were invited to come swimming! nothing like a good ol' dunk in the pool to keep my mind off of missing my husband (who comes home tomorrow! yay!)

this was jaythan's first real pool experience. unless you count the day he was born. (but he wasn't self-aware that day, so it doesn't count)

he was very calm and solemn in the water. i don't know what that means. he could have just been tired. or scared. or completely content.

once he can speak, i'll ask him.

coconut+chai=love.

so yesterday was a crazy day. david's gone, and i worked 2 jobs and 2 online classes. all while nursing a kid and wiping his butt.

how did i do it, you ask? with my super powers, my awesome, amazing super powers. thank you, God, for making me a woman!

it was definitely trying...even for my super powers.

so last night was a latte night. a coconut chai latte to be exact. and it made everything better.
